[Gallery] Tesla Model S rolls over in a serious accident with a truck in the Netherlands

Yesterday noon, a Tesla Model S with a Swedish licence plate was involved in a serious accident on motorway A2 in the Netherlands between Eindhoven and Den Bosch, in the province of North-Brabant.
The Model S in question collided with a truck on the highway and rolled over, landing back on its wheels. The driver had to be taken to hospital, however there were no reports if the driver was seriously injured. The truck was damaged as well but was able to continue its journey.
The cause of the accident and the identity of the driver are still unknown, two out of three lanes of the highway had to be closed, causing a 25 minutes traffic jam. Eventually a tow truck was able to take the car away and the road was cleared by 2:00 pm.

  1. Account of the accident by the owner here (English version further down): http://teslaclubsweden.se/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5024

TL; DR: No major injuries; cuts / bruises from glass, 5 stitches on drivers elbow, small cut requiring a band-aid on his sons foot (from a dropped iPad). Car is obviously totaled.
